Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Wiki

The 2021 edition of the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? board game was produced in 2021 by board game manufacturers Ginger Fox, and released in November 2021 in the UK and USA.

Unlike most versions of the board game, the 2021 edition uses the 2007-2014 UK version 12-question money tree, albeit with only one safety net, at £10,000 / $10,000. This money tree was put into dollars for the US version, despite the fact the US version has actually never used this format.

Lifelines can be controlled via the Ginger Fox website, as opposed to by human players as usual.

Gameplay[]

Contestants are tasked with rising up the money tree by answering twelve questions correctly for £1,000,000 / $1,000,000. Players rotate as "host" and all players still get to play. Questions are answered by players in rotation, and the first to win the million, the last player standing, or, if there is no million-pound or million-dollar winner after 40 minutes, the highest-ranking player, wins.

Lifelines[]

  • 50:50
Removes two incorrect answers, leaving the right answer and the one remaining wrong answer.
  • Phone-a-Friend
Allows the contestant to ask a player currently not in the game or to physically phone a friend to ask for the right answer.
  • Ask the Audience
Allows the contestant to ask a fictional audience for the answer.
  • Ask the Host
Allows the contestant to ask the current "host" for their thoughts.
