Trevor Montague, a writer and former accountant from Crawley, West Sussex, appeared on Series 17 of the British version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? on 11 June, 2005. He won £1,000 after the audience answered incorrectly on his £32,000 question.

Trevor wrote a book in 2002 ambitiously titled "The A-Z of Everything", a quiz book with directories spanning many subjects, including, unfortunately, the questions he needed a lifeline for.

Trivia[]

  • Trevor appeared on Fifteen-to-One in 1990, however went out in the early rounds. He later returned in 1992, disguised as "Steve Romara", slicking his hair back and wearing golden earrings, breaching the show's strict 'one chance' rule. He succeeded in his disguise, yet a viewer recognised him on a Challenge repeat, and he was ordered by the courts to return a £3,000 vase he won.
    • "Steve Romara" also appeared on The Krypton Factor in 1995.
  • In 2018, Trevor was banned from contacting a Vale of Glamorgan printing firm until 2028.
