Tetsuya Watari (Japanese: 渡哲也; December 28, 1941 – August 10, 2020), is a Japanese film, stage, and television actor. He appeared as a celebrity contestant on the 2006 New Year Special episode of Quiz $ Millionaire on January 2, 2006. He was one of very few contestants (and celebrities) in the show to walk away on the Top Prize Question and won ¥7,500,000.
He died of pneumonia on August 10, 2020, aged 79.
