15 £1 Million £500,000

The highest possible loss is £499,000, if the player loses the million without setting their second safety net. However as there is no reason why a contestant wouldn't set their safety net at 500k before hearing the MDQ, the highest possible loss that could reasonably happen is £498,000 if the safety net was set at £2000.

Trivia[]

  • In Episode 8, Pete Hallifax walked away when he had Phone-a-Friend left.
  • In the tenth episode, Kevin Leetion became the first contestant in Jeremy Clarkson's era to win £125,000 without using a lifeline and the eighth overall. He is also the first contestant in over 18 years to win that amount without using a lifeline.
  • Kevin Leetion also became the eighth contestant to set their second safety net at £125,000, and the second to pass this safety net, after Eleanor Ayres in 2019.
  • Lynn Plowright became the eleventh contestant to answer the £250,000 question wrong but only lost £61,000 instead of £93,000 since she set the safety net at £64,000.
  • In episodes from 03.11.2024, 24.11.2024 and 01.12.2024, Perspex glasses between contestants could be seen; also “©2022” in the credits.
  • In an episode from 24.11.2024 the question about ‘SCD’ and ‘BGT’ was asked: “Which of these is the only person to have been a regular judge on both ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’?” with possible answers: “Amanda Holden”, “Bruno Tonioli”, “Darcey Bussell” and “Alesha Dixon”. The correct answer that gave the contestant £4,000 was “Alesha Dixon”, as this was the only correct answer at time of recording (2022). However, the episode aired in November 2024, when there were two correct answers: Dixon and Tonioli (as Tonioli joined ‘BGT’ in 2023).
