The twenty-fifth series of the UK version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? ran for twenty episodes (sixteen civilian and four celebrity) on ITV1, from 13 June to 20 December 2009. It was hosted by Chris Tarrant.
The first nine episodes of the series (all civilian episodes) aired on consecutive Saturday nights from 13 June to 8 August 2009, and were sponsored by search engine Ask Jeeves. The next ten episodes (three celebrity followed by seven civilian) aired on consecutive Tuesday nights from 1 September to 3 November 2009.[1] Finally, a Christmas celebrity episode aired on Sunday 20 December 2009.
