Starting from season 9, contestants are offered two game formats: classic with three lifelines, or risk with four lifelines (in this case the contest has €500 minimum amount only).

Trivia[]
- For the first time, a contestant is allowed to run a second time because he gave an answer that was rated as wrong and yet somehow correct. He answered the €125.000 question wrong and won €1.000. But RTL gives the WWM contestant Niklas Bayer-Eynck a new chance. On February 5, 2021 episode, he continued his run.
- Anke Engelke become celebrity contestant in risk format to lost the biggest money (€124.000) and walk away with €1.000.
