The twelfth series of the UK version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? ran for 19 consecutive nights on ITV, from 31 August to 28 December 2002. It was hosted by Chris Tarrant. This series switched to a weekly format that lasted until Series 27.

- On the 10th episode, Dougie Wilson became the fifth person to reach £125,000 without using a lifeline.
- From this series onwards, the audience were given an opportunity to vote on each question. They were also given new Celador-branded keypads.
