Quem quer ser milionário? Alta Pressão is the Portuguese version of Millionaire Hot Seat which aired in 2010-2011, 2015 and 2020, hosted by José Carlos Malato until 2015. The episodes aired weekdays. The new top prize is 50.000 € (earlier — 100.000 €).
In January 2020, RTP1 announced the revival of the Portuguese version to mark its 20th anniversary. This time, Filomena Cautela become the host. The new episodes is aired on Saturdays. In total, six contestants appear per episode. Each question has a time limit:
- Questions 1-5 - 15 seconds
- Questions 6-10 - 30 seconds
- Questions 11-15 - 45 seconds
There have been changes in the 2020 season. The studio and graphics have been completely updated. Now it looks like the British version's. In addition, a new format was introduced similar to the Australian version (from 2017) was introduced: FFF, cheque and new lifelines: Phone-a-Friend and Switch the Question. The best FFF contestant receives €500 cheque and can "buy" one of these lifelines.
