This is the third season of Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi, Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. In May–August from Monday to Wednesday, in September–January from Saturday to Sunday on Vijay TV aired. It's hosted by Arvind Swamy. Top prize was Rs. 10,000,000.
In this season, each player had a time limit of 60 seconds for all questions up until their single safety net that they set at the beginning of the game. After this, there is no time limit for the remaining questions.
This season was unique in that contestants appeared in pairs on the show, and contestants had the choice to set their single safety net at whatever question they wanted at the start of their game (extra high-risk format).
Additionally, in this season, Fastest Finger First was played in a best of three format, where only contestants who spent the least combined amount of time answering all 3 questions will be able to go to the hot seat.

- In episode 10, in 3rd question of 3-question FFF all 8 couples made correct order.
- Nobody was able to answer one of the Fastest Finger First questions on episodes 22 and 25, which were aired on July 18 and July 25, 2016.
- The week when episodes 24, 25, and 26 aired was a celebrity special week where the contestants were other TV hosts from the Star Vijay TV channel.
- Fastest Finger First was only played to select the first two celebrity contestants (Ma Ka Pa Anand and Kavin) in that week.
