Michelle Simmonds , a hotel administrator from Luton in Bedfordshire, was a contestant on Series 9 of the UK Version on 17 February 2001. She was the third UK contestant to leave with absolutely nothing after answering her £1,000 question incorrectly. She was also the first woman in the UK to achieve the unfortunate distinction.
