Milijonar, also called Lepo je biti Milijonar (translation: It's nice to be a millionaire), is a Slovenian game show based on the British game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. Aired from March 6, 2000 to May 27, 2005 on POP TV and was presented by Jonas Žnidaršič, who in 2003 was replaced by Boštjan Romih. The top prizes were 10.000.000 SIT (March 6, 2000 – 2003) and 15.000.000 SIT (February 21, 2003 - May 27, 2005).

From March 1, 2007 to January 1, 2008, the show was aired on RTV Slovenija under the name Milijonar z Jonasom (sometimes as Milijonar) which was presented by Jonas Žnidaršič again. Top prize became €100.000.

The series returned with new host Slavko Bobovnik on March 4, 2019 (source). In 2020, Jure Godler became the new host. Top prize is €100.000.

Trivia[]

  • In the later seasons (14+) The correct answer to the first question is always D.
  • On first episode of new series of Lepo je biti mijijonar (February 21, 2003) appeared 10 best contestants from the 1st version of the show (won at least SIT 5 000 000). They had chance to win SIT 15 000 000.[1]
  • Contestant Jaro Leskovsek became other Top Prize winner in Slovenia and first 15,000,000 SIT winner. In addition, he participated in the FFF 10 times and could not sit in a hot seat, and on the 11th time he managed to arrange the correct order and win the top prize.
  • From March 30, 2003 to March 4, 2005, in total 24 special episodes aired.
  • On March 8, 2007 episode, contestant Milan Koželj on his 3rd question the Ask the Audience lifeline used, where 100% voted for one option.
  • In 2000-2008, 293 episodes aired and more than 700 contestants appeared.
  • Lucija Perharič is a contestant who in all four Jonas Žnidaršič, Boštjan Romih, Slavko Bobovnik and Jure Godler eras appeared. Miran Adamič is a participant who participated in the FFF many times, but only won twice made (third in this season) into the player’s seat.
