Lambert Wilson (known for playing The Merovingian in The Matrix series of films) and Nolwenn Leroy (singer and winner of the second season of the talent show Star Academy) appeared as celebrity contestants on season 9 of the French version of the show on May 12, 2008.
They won 48 000 € for their chosen charity, the Abbe Pierre Foundation, after becoming only the second celebrity pair to miss the fourteenth and penultimate question after Josiane Balasko and Martin Lamotte in 2004. They are also the third known contestants in the history of the French version to miss the 300 000 € question.
Both celebrities would make further appearances on the show after their initial run - Lambert played alongside actress Virginie Ledoyen in 2015, while Nolwenn played alongside actor/film director Clovis Cornillac and author/humourist Laurent Baffie in 2011 and 2019 respectively.
