Kim 500 Milyar İster?, Kim Besyuzmilyar Ister? or Kim Beş Yüz Milyar İster? (English translation: Who wants 500 billion?) was the first Turkish version based off British Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. Aired from March 7, 2000 to 2004 on Show TV and Kanal D. Hosted by Kenan Işık. Top prize was 500.000.000.000 Turkish liras.

Trivia[]

In one episode, in March 2002, Nevzat Başaran had his bad question, "How many stars does the flag of the EU have?" with A: 12, B: 13, C: 14, D: 15 options. Contestant 50:50 used, where 13 and 14 options left. He answered B: 13, but right answer was C: 14. It turned out that all 4 options are wrong. The production company confused the number of stars with the number of member states. Contestant returned in hot seat and continued his run.
