This is the thirteenth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. Hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. The top prize was 70,000,000 rupees.

Changes

The set has been redesigned again, this time copying elements of the British set of 2018, but with many changes. The audience is again present in the studio, the lifeline Audience Poll replaced Phone-a-Friend. In addition, the FFF has undergone a change and returned to the 3-question tournament structure that was used in Season 7 and in 2016 season of Tamil version. It was officially named Fastest Finger First - Triple Test. In addition, the celebrity specials have changed their name from Karamveer to Shaandaar Shukravaar (literally Cool Friday). In addition to this change in names, other terms were also affected, for example, the timer was named Dhuk Dhuki Ji.

• In this season's celebrity specials:
  • The 10th episode saw the appearance of Sourav Ganguly, the host of Bengali version of KBC.
  • The 40th episode is specially known as "Sholay Reunion", indicating a reunion of the cast from the film Sholay.
  • The 50th episode is used to promote the film Hum Do Hamare Do.
  • The 55th episode is used to promote the film Sooryavanshi.
  • The 65th episode is used to promote the film Bunty Aur Babli 2.
  • The 70th episode is used to promote the film Satyameva Jayate 2.
  • The 75th episode is used to celebrate KBC's 1,000th episode. Although that episode will actually be number 1,013.
  • The 80th episode is specially known as "TMKOC Special". All contestants during that episode were comprised of the cast from the Hindi sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which was abbreviated as TMKOC.
• This season there were three crorepatis:
  • In the 9th episode, Himani Bundela became the first blind contestant to win Rs. 1 Crore.
  • Sahil Ahirwar won a crore on the 44th episode, becoming the second contestant this season to do so. He is the first male crorepati since Ajeet Kumar in November 2019.
  • Geeta Singh Gour won a crore on the 57th episode, becoming the third contestant this season to do so.
    • Unlike the other two contestants who have won a crore prior where both two have used up all of their lifelines before reaching the final question, Geeta saved two lifelines for the final question. However, she walked away without using any of her remaining lifelines.
• The weeks of November 15, 22 and 29 are Students Week, on all of these episodes:
  • There is a different FFF introduction, using back the classic FFF introduction which was used back in the first few seasons of KBC.
  • All contestants, which consisted of those who are below 18 years old, will earn points instead of rupees. The points will be turned into money once they turned 18.
  • At the end of a contestant's game, the on-screen graphic message was changed to "Total Pts. [amount]", instead of "Total Prize [amount]".
  • The graphic message after a contestant answered a question correctly was changed to "Pts. [amount]", instead of "र [amount]".
• The week of December 13, 2021 is Shaandaar Shukriya, literally Thank you very much. During this week:
  • Only celebrity contestants appeared.
  • All celebrities start their run with Rs. 10,000 (at the Rs. 20,000 question), and thus be only 11 questions away from the top prize Rs. 7 Crore.
  • In the 82nd episode:
    • Manish Paul enters the stage at the opening segment instead of Amitabh.
    • Disha, Chandni and Additi sit in the FFF row. They played two "joke" FFF questions (in which no answers revealed on either questions), which were:
