Jure Godler is Slovenian comedian, imitator, television host, podcaster, composer and pianist.

Life[]

He was born in Brezice. After graduating from the High School of Music and Ballet, he enrolled in English but did not graduate. He decided to study composition at the Mozarteum Academy of Music in Salzburg, Austria. He devoted his studies primarily to the study of life and the work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In music school he met Tiln Artač. They were combined by a common talent for imitating teachers. Together they presented themselves in the 5 Minutes of Glory (Slovenian: 5 minut slave) section of The Beautiful afternoon. They were spotted there by Sašo Hribar and Bojan Krajnc, who invited them to co-create the radio show Radio Ga-Ga and later the television show Hri-bar with Sašo Hribar.

Television[]

In tandem with Artač, Godler produced Television Slovenia on Who's Dare for Dinner? (Slovenian: Kdo si upa na večerjo?), Play Again (Slovenian: Zaigraj še enkrat), Alone (Slovenian: sam), and Noon (Slovenian: Poldnevnik). In 2015, he began directing a satirical show This Week with Jure Godler (Slovenian: Ta teden z Juretom Godlerjem) in Planet TV to comment on political and social events of the past week. He has received several awards for the show. These include Žaromet for Entertainment 2018 presenter, Žaromet for the busiest language 2016 and 2017, and Viktorja for Best Entertainment TV Show 2016.

In 2017, President Boris Pahor presented his Viktor during the election campaign, as Pahor deserves credit for the content and the success of this week's broadcast.

In 2020, he become the host of popular show Milijonar, the Slovenian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, replacing Slavko Bobovnik.
