'50:50' lifeline used
⬥ A: Woolworth poker ⬥ B: Oklahoma gin
⬥ C: Rodrigues solitaire ⬥ D: Mexican stud
Originally, Jonathan was certain that both C and D had to be card games, and was leaning towards A as the correct answer. When he used the 50:50 to clear out some wrong answers, Jonathan was surprised to be left with two choices he had already dismissed. Given this new information, he was less certain that C was a card game and selected the correct answer C.

Jonathan was already leaning towards A but he wasn't certain enough to risk answering on his own. He called his wife Melissa to help out. Jonathan immediately eliminated choices C & D, but he had no clear favorite between the remaining choices. Which of the following is NOT the name of a Village People song?
⬥ A: Hot Cop ⬥ B: Fox on the Box
⬥ C: Sex Over the Phone ⬥ D: Pants Party
Jonathan had stumbled upon the song "Sex Over the Phone" on YouTube previously and promptly eliminated that choice. The answer A felt like a Village People song because many of their songs involve the personas adopted by the band members. Conversely, the answer D seemed out of place to Jonathan, since he believed that the line, "There's a party in my pants and you're invited" sounded more contemporary. He selected D, which was correct.

Chris Harrison joked afterwards that Jonathan was lucky to have watched the movie 'Anchorman' where the phrase 'pants party' appears. Jonathan had thought about that movie and Steve Carell's delivery of that line when making his choice.

Excluding Hawaii, what is the total number of U.S. states you can spell using only the 12 letters of the Hawaiian alphabet?
⬥ A: 2 ⬥ B: 3
⬥ C: 4 ⬥ D: 5
Jonathan guessed from the letters in Hawaii that both Iowa and Ohio were states that qualified. He wondered if Idaho was also part of the answer but couldn't think of any Hawaiian names that contained the letter 'd'. He wasn't certain enough to select A and in the end Jonathan walked away without answering.

While Jonathan guessed Ohio and Iowa correctly, the states Maine and Oklahoma could also be spelt with the twelve letters found in the Hawaiian alphabet. That brings the total number of states to four, and the correct answer was C.
