Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Wiki

Jon Stitcher, a former online poker champion turned testator from Merseyside, was a contestant on Series 32 of the UK version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? on 2 January 2019. He walked away with £1,000 after incorrectly answering his £16,000 question.

Prior to appearing on Millionaire, Jon had already been a contestant on many other game shows: He was a contestant on Countdown in 2004, winning three games. He then appeared on BrainTeaser and The Krypton Factor in 2009. In 2014, he appeared on and won his heat of Fifteen to One. He later appeared on three episodes of series 11 of Only Connect in 2015, as part of the Athenians team. In 2016, he appeared on The Chase where he was part of a team that beat Mark Labbett to take home an equal share of £36,000. During the show, Labbett commented that Jon had been on more quiz shows than he had. His next quiz show appearance was Mastermind in 2018, his specialist subject being "The Inbetweeners" TV show, but he lost his heat.

After appearing on Millionaire in 2019, Jon appeared on Very Hard Questions later that year. In 2020, he appeared on Brain of Britain on BBC Radio 4, winning his heat with no studio audience present. In 2022, he appeared on Eggheads as part of the O.Q. Elite team. In 2024, he returned to compete as a contestant on Countdown for Series 90, 20 years after his first appearance.

He now runs his own Quiz league called the "Wirral Quiz League".[1]
