Jack Martin, a traffic engineer from Medford, Massachusetts, appeared on the U.S. version of the show on January 17-18, 2001. He walked away with $250,000. He is also one the few contestants to walk away with a lifeline still on the table. He left with 50:50 still intact. Jack appeared on the show when the jackpot was raised to $1,790,000.
