The Spring 2016 series of Haluatko miljonääriksi?, the Finnish version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, was broadcast from January 23 to April 9. The season had 12 episodes, aired on Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. (local time) on the TV channel Nelonen. The duration of an episode varied from 41 to 47 minutes, excluding the commercial breaks. The season was the first one since 2007 and the first one hosted by Jaajo Linnonmaa.
The season had 72 contestants, with 21 making it into the Hot Seat. The total prize money of the season was €97,200, the average being €4,628.57 per contestant. The biggest total prize money was won by David Viljanen (€30,000) and the smallest one by Maarit Soukka (€500), excluding the three Hot Seat contestants who walked away empty-handed.
The revival was eagerly anticipated in Finland: the previous season had been aired in Spring 2007, and the first episode was watched by over a fifth of the Finnish population. The first episode of the next season was aired on September 3, 2016.
