Günther Johannes Jauch (German pronunciation: [ˈɡʏntɐ joˈhanəs ˈjaʊx]; born 13 July 1956) is a German television host. He is a member of the Hamburg Jauch family, but currently lives in Potsdam, Brandenburg with his wife Thea (Dorothea) Jauch and his four children.
He is the host of Wer wird Millionär? in Germany, and has been the longest-serving continuous host of the format anywhere in the world since the show was axed in Australia in 2023.
He holds a Guinness World Record as the male presenter that hosted the most episodes of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? worldwide.[1]
On 30 May 2006 Jauch swapped roles with contestant Horst Schlämmer on a celebrity special for the 2006 World Cup. Günther started from the €16,000 question and played up to the final question.

Jauch is the only host who reached the Top Prize question twice.
According to press reports, Jauch earns around €125,000 per episode. The amount is not said to be stipulated in his contract and is through a gentleman's agreement with RTL. He is well-known within Germany for being a generous donor to good causes with much of his broadcasting earnings.
