Evelyne, from the university city of Aix-en-Provence in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, was a contestant who appeared in two episodes of season 3 of the French version of the show on on August 14 & 15, 2002.
She became the second contestant of any kind in France to incorrectly answer the fourteenth question and the first after the changeover to the Euro, thus losing 102 000 € and walking away with only 48 000 €. This is currently the highest amount of money ever lost on the French version of the show.
She is also the first known civilian contestant to miss the 300 000 € question, and the second overall to miss the penultimate question after Véronique and Alain one year prior.
