He won the top prize of $1,000,000 on 29 August 2016, making him the fifth winner in the "Hot Seat" format worldwide and the first Millionaire winner in Australia after nearly 11 years. He was the latest million-dollar winner in Australia for five years until Antony McManus won on November 25, 2021.
