Eckhard Freise (born 30 November 1944), from Münster, appeared as a contestant on two episodes of Series 2 of Wer wird Millionär?, the German version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. He won the top prize of DM 1,000,000 on 2 December 2000, making him the first top prize winner of the German version. He was the penultimate top prize winner in the 20th century.
