Drew Allison Carey (May 23, 1958), a comedian and game show host from Cleveland, Ohio, was a celebrity contestant on the U.S. version of the show on May 2nd, 2000. He walked away with $500,000 for the Ohio Library Council.[1]
He would later reappear on the second Celebrity Week on November 14th, 2000. This time, he walked away with $32,000 for the same charity as before after missing his $125,000 question. However, he has stated that he would put $32,000 of his own pocket to compensate for the $32,000 loss.
He is best known for starring in The Drew Carey Show, being the main host of Whose Line Is It, Anyway?, hosting the short-lived CBS primetime game show Power of 10, and succeeding Bob Barker as host The Price Is Right in October 2007.
