Dave Scholefield, a glass company manager from Liversedge, West Yorkshire, was a contestant on the British version of the show on 29th January 2005. He walked away with nothing, having answered incorrectly in the fifth question, and was the last ordinary contestant to do so. Chris mentions before the start of the game that Dave was toyed with the idea of getting the first question wrong on purpose, which would make him be known as the "Numpty of the North". Also, Chris mentioned on the 10th Anniversary DVD game, that he forgot to use his lifelines.
