Code Red is a lifeline introduced in some of the Indian versions of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.
Unlike most other lifelines, which are activated by the contestant, this lifeline is used by the companion of the contestant in the studio. In front of the companion, there is a cone-like stand with a button which can be pressed, glowing in blue. This is intended for the case when the contestant is leaning towards an incorrect answer. In case the companion is doubting the contestant's answer, they have the right to press the button and thereby warn the in-game contestant about thinking about a wrong answer. Immediately after pressing, three beeps of the SOS signal are heard, with both the stand and the entire studio temporarily colored red. It is allowed to be pressed only once for the entire game. It is unknown if an icon for this lifeline exists.
This lifeline first appeared in the 8th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (Indian version for Hindi and English-speaking people). It also appeared in season 3 of Ningalkkum Aakaam Kodeeshwaran (Indian version for Malayalam-speaking people), In season 4, the stand was slightly altered in shape, but the use remained the same. This lifeline in season 3 of Kannadada Kotyadhipati (Indian version for Kannada-speaking people) used.
