Chris Chan Hon-Cheung appeared on an episode of Baak Maan Fu Yung, the Hong Kong version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, on November 2, 2001, and became the first solo contestant to win HK$1,000,000. He later appeared at the elite tournament on December 31, 2001, along with other big winners of season 1, but was eliminated (see Paul Yip's third run).
