Birgitta Hedström (1948/1949 – 20 February, 2017) a 65/66-year-old psychotherapist from Sundsvall, was a contestant on the Swedish version of the show, Postkodmiljonären, on April 5 and 11, 2014. She became the seventh contestant and the second woman to win the top prize, 1 000 000 SEK. She also became the first Swedish person who knew the answers to the first 14 questions without using any lifelines.
She died in 20 February, 2017, at the age of 68, during a holiday trip in Egypt.

Birgitta knew the answers to the first 14 questions without using any lifelines. After the 14th question, the klaxon called time, and Birgitta returned in the next episode on April 11, 2014.

Birgitta did not know the answer, so at first, she used '50:50' lifeline, and the options C and D were removed. Then she decided to ask the audience, with a great majority saying B: Quick. Then she phoned her sibling's son Magnus, but he did not know. Birgitta decided to take a risk, answered B: Quick, and won the top prize. |
