Bill Copland, an Australian student from Corby, Northamptonshire, was a contestant on series 15 of the British version of the show on 3 April, 2004. He's only the seventh person in the UK version to walk away with nothing after incorrectly answering his £1,000 question.
He previously appeared on series 9 of the Australian version of the show and fared much better, winning $250,000.

Bill jokingly asked whether to use the Ask the Audience lifeline for the second time since he had no clue in which Chris denied his request replying "You cannot ask the audience twice". He used his 50:50 lifeline leaving answers B: Frank Carson and C: Bernard Manning. Bill didn't think it was Frank Carson, so he went with Bernard Manning. He was wrong and Bill became the 7th £0 winner in the UK version of Millionaire as the correct answer was B: Frank Carson. |
