Ask the Star (Får stjernehjelp) is a lifeline that was originally used in the Norwegian version from 2008 to 2009. This is very similar to Ask the Expert and Three Wise Men, however, there are two guest celebrities instead of one or three. From 2020, in the Swedish version, this lifeline replaced Ask the Audience.
After the contestant decides to use this lifeline, the live broadcast is made from a special room with a couple (in Sweden - three) of celebrities. The presenter introduces them to the participant and asks for help in answering the question. To give a response, celebrities are given 60 seconds.
In Sweden, the three celebrities were in the studio, but the time is unlimited, and the celebrities can give different answers, similar to Ask Three of the Audience and People Speak.
Variations[]
- Ask two Experts: Used on the Vietnamese version from the 11th season of the show, temporarily replacing the Ask Three of the Audience due to COVID-19. It has the same functionality as Ask the Star, but the two people are experts, and this lifeline had 30 seconds instead of 60.
