"Xin hỏi trong trường quay có ai biết chắc chắn câu trả lời đúng thì giơ tay tư vấn cho người chơi. Mời bạn chọn 3 người" (Anyone in the studio who knows the correct answer for sure, please raise your hand to advice the player. Please pick up three people") - Phan Đăng

Ask Three of the Audience is one of the three variations of the Ask the Audience lifeline. It is used firstly on ¿Quién quiere ser millonario? in Chile (2006 - 2008, 2019), mostly used on Ai Là Triệu Phú in Vietnam (2008 - 2010, 2011 - April 28, 2020), and also used on Haluatko miljonääriksi? in Finland (2016–present), Želite li da postanete milioner? in Serbia (2010-2011), and ¿Quién quiere ser millonario? in Argentina (2019-2020). The lifeline is similar to Ask One of the Audience.

The Ask Three of the Audience lifeline being used on Ai Là Triệu Phú, as seen on this meme edit

This lifeline is available for last 10 questions on Vietnamese and Serbia version, last five questions in Chile and Argentina, all questions in Finland, or as a Risk-format exclusive lifeline in the Hungary. When a contestant uses this lifeline, they get to pick three random members of the audience, who then suggest the contestant the answer they think is correct. If any of the audience suggests the correct answer, they will be rewarded with a prize (only in Vietnam and Finland).

Note that in the event no audience members know the answer, as has happened in Argentina, the lifeline is not refunded.

Translation for the lifeline[]

  • Vietnamese: Tư Vấn Tại Chỗ (2008 - 2017), Hỏi ý kiến của tổ tư vấn trường quay (2018 - 2020)
  • Finnish: Kysy yleisöltä (2016–present)
  • Hungary: A három tanácsnok (2008)
  • Serbian: Glas naroda (2010-2011)
  • Spanish: Los tres del público (Chile: 2006 - 2008, 2019), Comodín 3 personas del público (Argentina: 2019 - 2020)
  • Mongolia: Үзэгчдийнхээ гурваас асуу (2024 - present)

Prize[]

  • On Ai Là Triệu Phú, the cash prize depends on who got the answer right (₫600,000 if only one audience got the answer right, ₫300,000 each if two audiences got the answer right and ₫200,000 each if all three audiences got the answer right). Originally, from April 1, 2008, to May 13, 2008, each audience got it right will receive a special gift basket from the sponsor P&G.
  • On Haluatko miljonääriksi?, the contestant chooses the suggested answer and if it proves to be correct, each audience member who got it correct received a gift card for Scandic Hotels (in the 2016 spring season) or a €99 gift card of the telecommunications company DNA (in the 2016 autumn season).

Variations[]

  • Ask One of the Audience: Variation of this lifeline, with only a audience instead of three.
  • People Speak: Used on the Philippine version from 2011 until 2015, it has the same functionality as Three of the Audience, but the audience members who are correct will receive a share of a prize of ₱20,000 (similar to the Vietnamese and Finnish version). It replaced the Ask the Audience lifeline.
  • Ask the Star: In the Swedish version, it allows the contestant to consult up to three celebrities for guidance.

Graphics[]

  • On Chile version from 2006 - 2007, and on the Vietnamese version from April 1 to May 13, 2008 (when the show was still using the classic graphic), the lifeline's logo was similar to Ask One of the Audience on the German and Czech version, albelt the euro symbol that placed on the left of the human symbol was replaced by the dollar ($) symbol.
  • When the Vietnamese version upgraded to Rave graphic in 2008, the lifeline's logo from 2006 - 2007 was upgraded to blue background ellipse. This design was also used on the Argentina version.
  • In 2019, Chile brought back the lifeline, now using the Olga van den Brandt/Dark rave graphics from the UK and Netherlands revivals.
  • When the Arab League and Mongolian version had this lifeline, it also used the Dark Rave graphics, but was different in design. It featured four "person" symbols: one in the foreground and three clustered in the back.
  • On the Finnish version, the graphics was similar to the Vietnamese version. However, the dollar symbol was replaced by two question marks.
  • On the Serbian version, they don't use regular symbol for the lifeline. Instead, they use three question marks, representing three audience members.
  • On the Austria version, the lifeline's logo was very similar to Ask One of the Audience on the German and Czech version.
