Ask One of the Audience is one of the three variations of the Ask the Audience lifeline. It is used firstly on the ninth season of the German version. It was also used on the Costa Rican and Venezuelan versions, in the 10th anniversary season of the Bulgarian version, as well as in the revival of the first Czech version in 2016, and the French version in 2024. The lifeline is similar to Ask Three of the Audience.
Usage[]
This lifeline is exclusively available to the high-risk format in the German, Venezuelan, and Czech versions, or only after reaching the first safety net in the Costa Rican version (fifth question) and Bulgarian version (second question). In the French version, it is available for all questions.
When the contestant uses this lifeline, the host asks the audience as to who among them knows the answer to the question and asks them to stand up. Then the contestant chooses one of them, and the audience member would then give their answer. The contestant does not necessarily have to agree with the answer that the audience member gave out.
Prize[]
- On Wer wird Millionär?, if the audience member gave a correct answer, they receive €500.
- On Chcete být milionářem?, If the audience member gave a correct answer, they earn 5,000 Kč.
- On ¿Quién quiere ser millonario? (Venezuela), if the audience member offered the correct answer to the contestant, they earn 3,000 Bs.F (later raised to 3,500 Bs.F).
