Anna Mishina (born 6 July 1978) and Gennady Smirnov (born 7 August 1972) appeared as celebrity contestants, who appeared on an episode of Kto khochet stat' millionerom? on December 11, 2021. They chose 400,000 rubles as a safety net, but answered the top prize question wrong, losing 1.1 million rubles.
They were just one step away from the top prize, the recent top prize winners as of now are Timur Solovyev and Yulianna Karaulova, in December 2017. They were the second couple to lose at the top prize question in Russia in the 2021-2022 season, the first couple being Irina Pudova and Vasilisa Volodina, who also won 400.000 rubles as their only safety net.
They took a risk at the final question but like Irina and Vasilisa, Anna and Gennady did lose 1.1 million rubles at the end. As of November 2025, Anna and Gennady are the most recent people to have reached the final question as nobody in 2022, 2023 and 2024 had reached question 15.
