Alif Laam Meem (Urdu: الف لام میم) was the unlicensed Pakistani version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?. Hosted by Junaid Jamshed, the goal of the game was to win the top prize by answering 15 multiple-choice questions correctly. The show was broadcasted on Geo TV from June 20th, 2011[1] and ended sometime in August/September.
Format[]
As this version was designed to cater for Islamic audience, the questions were all asked about Islam religion.
Fastest Finger First[]
- 8 contestants will be given a question with 4 answers that must be placed in the correct order. They are given 10 seconds to do so. Whoever gets the order correct in the fastest time will win.

Main game[]
- The player has to answer 15 multiple-choice questions.
- There are 4 milestones at question 2, 7, 12 and 14 (3 in special shows, removing question 12 milestone). Question 15 is the bonus question.
- The show used clock format, in particular: 30 seconds for first two questions, 45 seconds for the next five questions, and no clock for further questions. The clock starts after the host finished saying the four options.
- The player have one chance to walk away after answering question 7 correctly before moving on to question 8.
Lifelines[]
Four lifelines are available:
- Rahber (Leader) (works like Ask The Expert (Urdu: رہبر), however, there's only one expert: Mufti Muhammad Zubair; there's also no time limit)
- Majlis Shoora (works like Ask The Audience (Urdu: شوریٰ اسمبلی), the audience have 10 seconds to pick an answer)
- Rafiq (works like Phone-A-Friend (Urdu: رفیق), player also have 30 seconds to ask and answer, timer will automatically stop if the helper knows the answer)
- Dohri Sahelat (works like Double Dip (Urdu: ڈبل ساتھی), available from question 8)

Question 15 is a speculation as no one has reached this milestone yet; however Hajj for 2 was promised if the player get 14 questions right.

- The name of the show was the first three words in various chapters of the Quran (Islamic equivalent of the Bible). They has no official meaning and are only meant to be understood by the Allah (Islamic god).
- Instead of clapping, audience are asked to say "Subhanallah" instead if they want to congratulate.[2]
